Venus d’horizons pourtant différents et animés par un rapport expérimental (et plastique) à la musique, ces deux improvisateurs se rejoignent par le choix de leurs instruments et agrégat de matériaux dits pauvres, qu’ils utilisent pour leurs qualités de texture et de couleur, afin de créer une composition où l’importance du geste sonore est primordiale.
C’est ce geste, toujours délicat, qui par insistance ou intermittence vient tirer d’un fond sans fond, des figures fugitives, élaborant ainsi un paysage abstrait et vibrant qui invite l’auditeur à voyager dans l’onde sonore.

Recorded live at Tignous contemporary Art Center, Montreuil 2020

Coming from different backgrounds and driven by an experimental (and plastic) relationship to music, these two improvisers come together through the choice of their instruments and aggregates of so-called poor materials, which they use for their qualities of texture and color, in order to create a composition where the importance of the sound gesture is primordial.
It is this gesture, always delicate, which by insistence or intermittence comes to draw fleeting figures of a bottomless background, thus developing an abstract and vibrant landscape that invites the listener to travel in the sound wave.

Avec une face A et une face AA "Shed light on the origins" dissout la face B, se jouant des polarités.
C’est ainsi que Carbon sink et Z'EV nous invitent à entrer dans un monde au climat électrique, traversé par un courant alternatif à hautes tensions, et par les ondes électro-magnétiques de gaz lumineux.
un voyage dans les particules élémentaires sur des rythmes hypnotiques, à la rencontre d’oiseaux cyborgs, d'interférences et d’échos.
"Shed light on the origins" est une musique électroacoustique aux allures "dark-tropicales" .

Thus, Carbon Sink & Z'EV invite us to enter in an electric climate world, crossed by AC high voltages, and by electromagnetic waves of luminous gases.
A trip across the elementary particles on hypnotic rhythms, to the encounter of cyborg-birds, interferences and echoes.
"Shed light on the origins" is an electroacoustic music in a "dark-tropical" style.
